Every nurse was drawn to nursing because of a desire to care, to serve, or to help.

what we do
With over 400 members, USF NSA is one of the largest student organizations at the University of San Francisco. Our purpose is to contribute to nursing education so that our members can provide the highest quality of care and to aid in developing students' professionalism and sense of responsibility for providing health care for people in all walks of life through volunteering in the community. We also provide classes--such as EKG, PALS, and ACLS--to our members. We aim to enrich our members' experience in USF SONHP so that they are well prepared for their professional careers as nurses.

about NSNA
We are a chapter of NSNA, the only national organization for nursing students. NSNA is the largest student professional organization in the United States with over 58,000 members in 50 states. They aim to prepare students for initial licensure as registered nurses, convey the standards and ethics of the profession, and develop the skills that students need to be responsible and accountable nurses. NSNA advocates for high quality, affordable, and accessible health care by assisting in advances in nursing education. We encourage members to also join NSNA and become active members.
Benefits to joining include:
- a subscription to The Imprint magazine,
- discounts for licensing exam preparation classes, continuing education classes, conferences, health/accident/malpractice insurance, nursing equipment,
- and eligibility to apply for over $10,000 worth of national scholarships.
